Workspace Settings How-To

Use this page for common admin tasks inside Workspace Settings.

Change the workspace name or default timezone

Before you start

Confirm whether your team is in the middle of an active campaign, event launch, or payment integration change. The workspace name can affect public URLs and copied callback URLs.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Open Workspace Settings > Workspace.
  2. Update Workspace Name or Timezone.
  3. Save the changes.

What to test afterward

  • any public links your team has already shared
  • any copied payment callback or webhook setup notes that included the old workspace name
  • one event and one program that rely on the default timezone rather than their own override

Troubleshooting

  • If an older link stops working after a name change, regenerate or replace the old public link with the current one.
  • If event or program times look wrong, check whether the record has its own timezone set. Workspace timezone is only the default when the record does not define one.

Connect a custom domain

Before you start

You need a branded subdomain, not a root domain. The current settings flow is designed for values such as events.yourorg.ca.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Open Workspace Settings > Domain.
  2. Enter the exact subdomain in Custom Domain.
  3. Review the Email Sender Preview.
  4. Follow the DNS Setup instructions shown in the page and add the required NS records with your DNS provider.
  5. Save the changes and wait for propagation.

What to test afterward

  • the branded public event, donation, or program URL in a browser
  • the default Altrinum URL to confirm it still works as fallback
  • one member-facing or public email link if your team sends those
  • the sender preview in campaign setup if branded sending matters to your team

Troubleshooting

  • If the domain does not work, confirm you entered only the subdomain, not https:// or a full path.
  • If the domain still does not resolve, verify the NS delegation with whoever manages your DNS.
  • If the sender preview still shows a platform-managed bounce domain, treat the preview as the current state and confirm the sending setup before a campaign launch.

Set up Stripe

Before you start

Have the Stripe publishable key, secret key, and webhook signing secret ready. You will also need to create the webhook endpoint in Stripe using the URL shown in Workspace Settings.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Open Workspace Settings > Payments.
  2. Choose Stripe as the payment processor.
  3. Open Stripe Settings.
  4. Copy the webhook endpoint URL shown in the page.
  5. In Stripe, create the webhook endpoint and enable the listed required events.
  6. Paste the publishable key, secret key, and webhook signing secret into Workspace Settings.
  7. Save if needed.
  8. Run Test Stripe Connection.

What to test afterward

  • one one-time public donation
  • one paid public event registration
  • one paid public program checkout if your team uses programs
  • one recurring donation if your organization offers monthly giving
  • one refund workflow if your team regularly processes refunds

Troubleshooting

  • If the connection test fails, start with the secret key. The settings page tests against Stripe using that key.
  • If Stripe payments work but recurring or refund events do not reconcile correctly later, review the webhook event list again.

Set up Moneris

Before you start

Have the Moneris Store ID, API Token, Checkout ID, and correct environment ready. Use the Moneris Checkout ID from the same environment.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Open Workspace Settings > Payments.
  2. Choose Moneris as the payment processor.
  3. Open Moneris Settings.
  4. Enter Store ID, API Token, and Checkout ID.
  5. Add the legacy Hosted Tokenization Profile ID only if your team still needs that older flow.
  6. Choose Test or Live.
  7. Run Test Moneris Connection.

What to test afterward

  • one paid donation
  • one paid event registration
  • one paid program checkout if your team uses programs
  • one recurring donation flow if your organization plans to use recurring gifts with Moneris

Troubleshooting

  • If verification fails immediately, the settings page usually records the last error in the Moneris status area.
  • If one-time checkout works but your team depends on recurring gifts, pause and validate that workflow carefully. The recurring Moneris charge path is not fully implemented in the current gateway code and should be treated as needing human confirmation before go-live.

Turn on tenant-wide campaign UTM defaults

Before you start

This helps when your team wants consistent attribution across many marketing emails. It is less helpful when each campaign is managed with its own naming convention.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Open Workspace Settings > Campaign Email UTM Tracking.
  2. Turn on Enable automatic UTM tagging for campaign emails.
  3. Enter default UTM Source and UTM Medium.
  4. Add token-based patterns for campaign, content, or term if needed.
  5. Save the changes.

What to test afterward

  • open a campaign and review its UTM preview
  • send a test message and inspect tagged links
  • confirm that signed member links, unsubscribe links, and already-tagged links behave as expected

Troubleshooting

  • If no tags are applied, the tenant default may still be off or the campaign may be set to disable UTM tracking explicitly.
  • If tags look inconsistent, check for campaign-level overrides before changing the tenant default.

Refresh Prospect Intelligence after threshold changes

Before you start

This is necessary only after enabling Prospect Intelligence or changing the scoring thresholds.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Open Workspace Settings > Prospect Intelligence.
  2. Save any threshold changes first.
  3. Run Refresh Prospect Scores.
  4. Wait for the success message that reports how many score rows were refreshed.

What to test afterward

  • one known constituent whose prospect output should obviously change
  • the Score freshness message in Workspace Settings
  • the Prospect Intelligence workspace pages your team relies on

Troubleshooting

  • If nothing appears to change, confirm that Prospect Intelligence is enabled and that a refresh actually ran after the settings change.
  • If the refresh fails, capture the error and have an internal admin review it before staff rely on the output.

Enable Ask Altrinum

Before you start

Ask Altrinum is a tenant-level AI feature. Turning it on affects workspace access, not just one user.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Open Workspace Settings > AI.
  2. Turn on Enable Ask Altrinum.
  3. Save the changes.
  4. Confirm the workspace now shows the Ask Altrinum navigation item.

What to test afterward

  • open Ask Altrinum from the dashboard
  • run one straightforward question about donations, events, programs, or emails
  • check the displayed credit balance if your team is monitoring shared usage

Troubleshooting

  • If the page still does not appear, confirm you saved the setting and reload the dashboard.
  • If staff can open the page but get a disabled message, confirm the workspace toggle is still on.
