Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Pixelr.IO Labs Inc. ("Pixelr.IO Labs", "we", "us", or "our") is a corporation that develops and operates Altrinum, a software-as-a-service platform for Canadian nonprofits and charities. Altrinum is a product and brand of Pixelr.IO Labs Inc. References to "Altrinum", "we", "us", or "our" in this Privacy Policy refer to Pixelr.IO Labs Inc. as the legal entity responsible for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information described herein.
This Privacy Policy describes how Pixelr.IO Labs Inc. collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information in connection with our website located at https://altrinum.com and the Altrinum platform and related services (collectively, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect directly from visitors to our website, prospective customers, account holders, and subscribers (collectively, "you"). It does not apply to personal information that our customers (organizations and other entities that subscribe to the Service) submit to us as part of operating their own donor management, fundraising, events, or communications activities through the Service. Where we process personal information on behalf of our customers, we do so as a service provider acting on their instructions, and those customers are responsible for their own privacy practices and notices toward their donors, members, registrants, and other end users.
Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, capitalized terms have the meanings given to them in our Terms of Service.
Pixelr.IO Labs Inc. is a Canadian corporation and our privacy practices are governed primarily by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, substantially similar provincial legislation, including Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25), Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA AB), and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA BC). We also comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) in connection with commercial electronic messages. Where individuals outside Canada interact with our Service, we apply privacy standards consistent with the above legislation and take reasonable steps to comply with applicable local requirements.
Pixelr.IO Labs Inc. acts in two distinct capacities with respect to personal information:
As a controller of our own customer and website data: When we collect personal information directly from you — such as when you create an account, subscribe to the Service, contact us for support, or visit our website — we determine the purposes and means of processing and are responsible for that information under this Privacy Policy.
As a service provider to our customers: When our customers use the Service to manage their donors, members, registrants, volunteers, or other constituents, we process that personal information on behalf of the customer and under their instructions. In those cases, the customer is responsible for their own privacy obligations, including providing appropriate notices and obtaining required consents from their end users. If you are an end user of one of our customers (for example, a donor or event registrant), please direct your privacy inquiries to the organization whose platform or website you interacted with.
We collect only the personal information necessary for the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy. The types of personal information we may collect include:
Account and contact information: When you register for or use the Service, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, job title, and organization name.
Billing and payment information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect billing address and payment information. Full payment card details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor (Stripe) and are not stored on our servers. See the Payments section below for more detail.
Usage and technical data: We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service, including your IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, operating system, pages visited, time and date of visits, time spent on pages, referral URLs, and other diagnostic and interaction data ("Usage Data"). This information helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.
Communications: If you contact us by email, support ticket, or other means, we retain records of those communications and any personal information you provide in connection with them.
Marketing preferences: If you subscribe to marketing communications, we retain your preferences and consent records in accordance with CASL.
We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Service, remember your preferences, and analyze usage patterns. Cookies are small data files stored on your device by your browser. We use the following types of cookies:
Strictly necessary cookies: Required for the Service to function. These cannot be disabled without affecting core functionality, such as login sessions and security features.
Preference cookies: Allow the Service to remember choices you have made, such as language or display settings.
Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors interact with the Service so we can improve it. See the Analytics section below.
Marketing and remarketing cookies: Used to deliver relevant advertising to you on third-party platforms based on your activity on our Service. See the Behavioural Advertising section below.
You can configure your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable cookies, some parts of the Service may not function properly. You may also manage certain cookie preferences through our cookie consent tool where available.
Do Not Track: Our Service does not currently respond to browser-level Do Not Track ("DNT") signals, as there is no uniform industry standard for how such signals should be interpreted or honoured. We describe your privacy choices and opt-out options throughout this Privacy Policy. You can enable or disable DNT through your browser's Preferences or Settings.
We use personal information we collect for the following purposes, in each case relying on a lawful basis under applicable Canadian privacy law (typically your consent or our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service):
To provide and maintain the Service: Including account creation, authentication, billing, customer support, and delivery of purchased features.
To communicate with you: Including transactional messages (account activity, billing, security alerts), operational notices (scheduled maintenance, policy updates), and, where you have consented, marketing and promotional communications about the Service and related offerings.
To improve and develop the Service: Including analyzing usage patterns, conducting research, testing features, and monitoring performance and security.
To detect and prevent fraud and abuse: Including monitoring for unauthorized access, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service.
To comply with legal obligations: Including responding to lawful requests from government authorities and maintaining records as required by law.
To deliver relevant advertising: Where you have not opted out, we may use certain usage data and cookies to deliver interest-based advertising through third-party platforms. See the Behavioural Advertising section below.
When we send you marketing or promotional emails or other commercial electronic messages ("CEMs"), we do so in compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). This means we will only send you CEMs with your express or implied consent, and every CEM we send will identify Pixelr.IO Labs Inc. as the sender, include our mailing address, and provide a clear and functional unsubscribe mechanism.
You may withdraw your consent to receive marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send, or by contacting us at info@pixelr.io. We will process unsubscribe requests within ten (10) business days as required by CASL. Please note that withdrawing consent to marketing messages does not affect your receipt of transactional and operational messages that are necessary to administer your account or the Service.
When our customers use the Service to operate their fundraising, donor management, event registration, or communications activities, they may submit personal information relating to their donors, members, volunteers, registrants, and other constituents ("Customer Data"). Pixelr.IO Labs Inc. processes Customer Data only as directed by our customers and solely for the purposes of providing, maintaining, and supporting the Service, preventing fraud, complying with law, and fulfilling our contractual obligations. We do not use Customer Data for our own marketing or commercial purposes, and we do not sell Customer Data.
Customer Data remains the property and responsibility of our customers. If you are a donor, registrant, or other end user of one of our customers and have questions about how your personal information is handled, please contact that organization directly.

Pixelr.IO Labs Inc. does not sell your personal information. We may share or disclose personal information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers: We engage third-party companies and individuals to assist us in operating and improving the Service, including cloud hosting providers, payment processors, email delivery providers, analytics providers, and customer support tools. These service providers have access to personal information only to the extent necessary to perform their functions and are contractually required to protect it and use it only for permitted purposes.
Business transactions: If Pixelr.IO Labs Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your personal information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy, and where required by law, we will seek your consent.
Legal requirements and law enforcement: We may disclose personal information if we are required to do so by law, court order, or valid legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to: comply with a legal obligation; protect and defend the rights or property of Pixelr.IO Labs Inc.; prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service; protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public; or protect against legal liability.
With your consent: We may share your personal information for any other purpose with your express consent.
We use Stripe as our third-party payment processor for paid subscriptions and services. Pixelr.IO Labs Inc. is based in Canada, but some of our service providers and partners are located in other countries, including the United States. As a result, your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries outside Canada where data protection laws may differ from those in your province or territory. In particular, personal information transferred to the United States may be subject to access by U.S. law enforcement or government authorities under applicable U.S. laws.
Where we transfer personal information outside Canada, we take steps to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection, including by entering into contractual arrangements with service providers that require them to maintain appropriate security safeguards and process personal information only for permitted purposes. If you are a Quebec resident, please note that transfers of your personal information outside Quebec are subject to the requirements of Law 25, including our obligation to conduct a privacy impact assessment where required.
We retain personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide the Service, maintain accurate business and financial records, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When personal information is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymize it in accordance with our internal retention practices.
Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period unless it is needed to improve security, diagnose technical issues, or meet a legal obligation requiring longer retention.
If you cancel your subscription, we will retain your account information for a reasonable period to allow you to reactivate your account and to comply with applicable legal obligations, after which we will delete or anonymize it in accordance with our retention schedule.

We cannot guarantee the absolute security of personal information and we are not liable for unauthorized access that is beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account.

Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated personal information. Where possible, you can update your information directly within your account settings.
